Old Before Michelangelo Moved In

Old before Michelangelo moved in

Your chance to sleep, cook, paint in the home where Michelangelo lived. In 1549, Michaelangelo Buonarroti—known for painting the Sistine Chapel—purchased the property, and it remained in the Buonarroti family until 1867. Now it’s on the market again.

The current owner has restored the Tuscan farmhouse to accurately tell the rich historical account of this property, and he currently holds copies of the original documents and deed to the home, including a copy of the original deed signed by Michelangelo. Details of the property date back to the 11th century.

The villa includes 10 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms.  For more photos and to view the property listing, follow this link:

  1. Beautiful outside. Yet it needs more mid-century and I’d replace 19th century stuff will more Italian medieval furniture.
